AC2 : Battle for Forli

Post by Animalor »

Bought the AC2 DLC pack with leftover points on my account last week. The thing comes in at about 320 points(4$?) but there isn't really much content to speak of. If you hadn't played AC2 yet, then definately pick it up as it extends your playthrough by about an hour(I assume that you just go into Memory block 12 after you finish off 11 when the DLC is installed) and it gives you a reason to go back to Forli to finish stuff off.

If you've already finished the game however, it just doesn't really add anything to the game per say. The missions are also somewhat uninspired.

There is an upshot for those that missed the glider achievement in AC2, there's a perma glider there that you can use to your heart's content to get the achievement/trophy.

Verdict: For the AC2 hardcore only.

Yeah I decided to pass on this (and the next one that will come out) when they admitted it was originally supposed to be in the original release but they ran out of time. Sure was nice paying for an incomplete game!

No acheivements/trophies are included either. These episodes will just pad a GotY edition that will be released in the fall. I passed for the same reason I passed on the Red Faction DLC last year; I feel like I completed the game and despite enjoying myself I feel no need to extend the gameplay experience.

I've barely gotten into the game yet, and I pretty much need to have all DLC for games I buy (with a few exceptions), so I bought it.

Let us know if the chapter gets dropped into sequence when playing the game. Originally Chapter 12 and 13 were skipped. I got into chapter 12 as soon as I loaded my game post-conclusion

I have AC2 sitting down by my 360, I've just been waiting for both these DLC's to be released before I play it. Haven't heard great things about BfF, hopefully the next one is a bit better.

The main redeeming feature for this is that it's a lot cheaper than your average DLC. If it gets added sequentially into the game on your first playthrough then I would say get it.

You aren't missing much if it doesn't though..

Not really that cheap when you consider getting both memories, which were supposed to be included in the game originally anyway but weren't so they could rush the game out for the holiday season, now adds $9 to your total cost of the game. That just doesn't sit well with me! It just doesn't fit my definition of 'DLC' to be honest. I might buy them if they ever package them together for $4.50 or something but otherwise I can live without it.
