Looking for good earbuds...

Post by Keverian FireCry »

I just got some very nice(and huge) noise cancelling headphones that are great for home, but I don't want to take them along with me when I'm out and about. Though they are probably better than any earbuds I could find these days, I would also like something that is more discreet and can comfortably fit under a hood, a hat, or my long-ass hair, without making me look like I've got the head of Stewie from Family Guy.

I wouldn't doubt that there's a similar thread from a ways back, but tech often moves so fast that I figured it deserved a new thread.

So does anyone know of some good, more discreet headphones? They don't have to be earbuds necessarily, but need to cancel out noise and provide good sound. Anyone particularly satisfied with their own recent purchases of such devices?

Thanks.

I also have a pair of over the ear noise cancelling headphones that use at work, but needed someting smaller when working out or when walking around town. I bought these based on reviews on another forum I frequent. I am very happy with them. I cannot use the default iphone earphones because they hurt my ears after 30 minutes or so. I have put these Sennheisers through 8 hour work days with little to no issues. I can also lay down comfortably with them in, which is a first for me and any sort of headphones.

The bass is surprisingly good as well. These are the best non-over ear style headpones I have ever used. They are cheap and impressive. You can also read the reviews on Amazon and help form an opinion. Still, at 20$ it's an easy risk to take. At least that was my thinking. I'm glad I did!

I have Beats Earbuds by Dr. Dre. Deep bass, noise cancelling and they fit really well. They are simply amazing headphones.

These are the ones I have. Cousin just got them for me recently so I haven't used them a ton, but I like them a lot. I don't have problems with them staying in my ears like I generally do with earbuds and the sound is really good. Great for blocking out coworkers :)

I have some Sennheisers similar to Fair's. Excellent sound for a low price. My only complaint is that my model has a very short cable, which combined with the included extention, is too long! :P Factory mistake, I imagine....or they just wanted to make some better suited for using while working out and wearing your player on an arm strap.
