Home Theatre surge protection

Post by Xouqoa »

So, my parents just got a new TV + HTiB set up and they currently have a $5 power strip as surge protection.

Any recommendations? I got a refurb Monster Power deck for mine on eBay for $99 but I don't see to be able to find any now.

My A/V is plugged into a Woot $99 battery backup/voltage conditioner. I think its Vanns or Onecall that gets the monster stuff cheap... otherwise look into Tripp lite or APC for some of thier A/V products.

I actually picked up a Tripp-Lite surge protector on Amazon for $35, I think that'll work nice. It's not a line conditioner, but maybe they can get one of those later on.
