I have read many stories about how situation comedy is dead. I cannot disagree more. On the Networks it is definitely not as big as it was before, replaced by police and hospital procedurals, but if you look hard you can find some great TV.
Eastbound and Down
Always Sunny
Party Down
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Weeds
30 Rock
to a lesser extent, the Office, 2 and a half men, Big Bang Theory, and Little Britain
Even shows that are not traditional comedies like Psych, Monk and Leverage are fun and engaging. This TV show had possibly one of the funniest episodes I have ever seen. Episode one of season 2 had me in tears.
Here are some clips from the show. I was also curious if you know other great little shows like this. I love Netflix instant watch. I would have never looked for this show or Party Down otherwise and now I can't see enough of them.

If you have netflix do yourself a favor and watch these episodes, there are 3 seasons with 6 episodes per season. Again, if you have any more great recommendations I would appreciate them.

The I.T. Crowd
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

I enjoy this show quite a bit. Two years ago, NBC almost added an American version of this WITH Moss as a mid-season replacement. They shot a pilot, but thankfully it didn't go any further. NBC has a history of ruining good brit sitcoms, with a few notable exceptions.
