These characters actually have a personality and some depth compared to the Master Chief.
Helps to have Nathan Fillion, Adam Baldwin, Alan Tyduk and Trisha Helfer doing voices for the game.

The video on that link is absolutely sexy.

Looks like a lot of fun. Anyone know how long the single player is?

All of those folks did voiceovers for Halo 3 as well.
Game looks... meh.

It looks like Halo. You either dig it or you don't, just like any other game. I'm curious how well it's going to sell.

It will sell really well, just like Halo:Reach-around will next year too. This game falls into the same category as Modern Warfare 2 for me, I'll be buying it at some point only because everyone on my friends list will be playing it constantly.

The "Horde" type mode doesn't appeal to me too much, I'd much rather play that in Gears and splatter some guts all over the place than pewpewpew-it in Halo.

I beat the single player campaign on Heroic with a friend. The Horde mode can only be played with people on your friends list. No open games. What the fuck is that shit? I'm actually considering trading it in while I can still get a good price for it. I have never traded in a single game before in my life. That's how much that pisses me off. I think it was a terrible decision.

It was fun, but I felt like I had played it before. I just beat Halo 3 co-op on Heroic about 2-3 months prior, so I think I had too much Halo in too short a time.

It wasn't worth the 55$ I paid for it. It's worth more like 30$ IMO.

I never even bothered picking up the game. While I love those actors, 60$ was way too steep.

I disagree. The campaign was longer than most shooter games that people will gladly pay 60 for (Call of Horseshit, for example), and the multiplayer just as fleshed out and deep.

I personally refuse to play any form of multiplayer in a shooter with anyone who is not on my friends list so the lack of ability to do otherwise is more than welcome for me. ESPECIALLY any Horde type mode, there is no way I'd want to play that with randoms.

I just find it odd people would have a problem with this game at full price, being as here on VV in particular, I'm willing to bet the people saying that did not buy all the map packs, so when you consider the amount of maps you are getting, the new campaign, and new multiplayer mode, the game packs more than most retail releases nowadays.
