Its a fairly simple game, just a isometric 3d shooter, think back to the good old Crusader - No Remorse and Crusader - No Regret days, when shooting stuff could be fun
. There is a just about non-existing story about alien invaders, and it dont really matter. Its kind of a mix between Diablo and Crusader, since you get some LIGHT RPG elements, but its really just a "improve stats, but next gun" thing, not that many weapons to choose from. But still enough to make it interesting.
The fighting itself are fast paced and fun. At the start, you get off easy with 63 aliens on the first level, but on the later levels, 2000+ aliens pr level, many with fun stuff like acid that stay on the ground and make puddles that hurt, homing missiles, and other nasty stuff are common. The graphics are not perfect, a little oldschool, but dont matter imo, it just make the game a little more fun. You WILL see lots of blood and gore, when you splat a 200+ wave of aliens with a shotgun, the blood and gore left over will stay, and the formerly grey floors will be green, red and whatever colour happens to be the aliens
