I gotta say, the layout of your home is strikingly similar to a house my friend bought 2 years ago (also new). It's a little creepy!

The basement has great potential. Any plans?

I have grand plans for the basement, unfortunately I need my budget to catch up.

I'm planning on finishing it and putting a bathroom and home theater down there, and then there's space for another room that I might turn into a poker room or a workout room or playroom for the dog(s)/eventual kids.

I have a gf that will be moving in eventually, and she could potentially turn into a wife at some point. Oh my god, did I just say that out loud?

JK, grats on the new place. Hopefully in a couple years I'll finally move up north a bit to somewhere that has basements

lol holy shit. One of my good friends has that exact same house! You have a much better deck though. He ended up finishing the basement and putting in a home theater, bathroom, and a wet bar (something to think about). It isn't gayed up by whatever UM memorabilia that you're sure to taint your house up with.
