I haven't seen this one yet, so figured maybe its new.
Harry Potter half blood prince trailer
I kind of forgot this movie would eventually be coming out, because it was the book I disliked the most and sort of put it out of my mind. Either way...the movies are always fun!

I enjoyed the book, although it did start off very slow for me.

So after this they have, what, one more movie to make to get them all? The Deathly Hallows thing?
I've not read or seen any of them and would prefer to just get the DVD set when they are done (or maybe just borrow it). I flipped through one of the books once and I don't think I could stomach the catering to children writing style for the length of the books.
I like Lovecraft and dark fiction mostly, kids with magic wands being late for potion class because they want to go ride a broom is more than I could deal with in a book I think, but I could probably deal with a movie.

Actually the books are a very good read. They get darker as the series goes on. The last book has lots of death and mutilations in it.

I've watched a couple of the Harry Potter movies, but did not enjoy them.

Yes, but the last one is going to be split into two movies because of length issues.Ashur wrote:So after this they have, what, one more movie to make to get them all? The Deathly Hallows thing?

The last movie could just be a 2.5 to 3 hour movie...but since its technically for kids...they will split it up and probably ruin it that way.

Enjoyed the first two or three. Last HP was a snoozer.

Really? I thought the last one was the best so far. It's getting darker and more mature, and we actually had magic battles.Winnow wrote:Enjoyed the first two or three. Last HP was a snoozer.

That is what I thought too, until I read the books.
As far as the movies, they really don't pick up speed until the 3rd one.
