Overall, the MS E3 show did not dissappoint. Some very exciting things on the horizon. Taking things from Wii and working them into the superior xbox live was genius.

Four player geometry wars? I can't wait to get my hands on that.

I have to wait until March for Resident Evil 5? UGH! That looks awesome indeed.

Also, the Too Human demo was just released. So far that's pretty damn cool. (except the camera sucks)

Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, Fable2, VP: Trouble In Paradise, a new SceneIt!(My wife and I play this every now and again), the Primetime stuff (Again my wife is going to love this, although I think I may have to buy her a gold membership with all this).

Oh and the Lips thing??? Plug in your Zune or iPod to the 360 for dynamic tracks in the game... Not to mention all the stuff that can be streamed from your own PC. Completely sick..

I'm not sure what Sony and Nintendo have in store but damn....

First of all - I can assure you I will be buying both full sets for Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero, I will just have to buy a little storage shed or something for all the drum sets!

Yeah, I think Too Human is going to be fucking awesome multiplayer and will be looking for people that want to play it right away on release. Gears of War 2 is going to own so hard it will hurt, and I'm not sure I agree about Fallout.. And I hope I'm right, cause I've been super excited about that game.

Kinda sucks as that was my only reason for buying a PS3 but I'm loving this news anyway!

I didn't see the news conference. Did they announce it in dramatic fashion? Did the crowd go nuts like they did when they announced GTAIV for the 360 years ago?

And with that, I will be picking up my own 360 next week. As much as I'd love a PS3 (to this day nothing feels better in my hand than a dual-shock) I can no longer even think of justifying the cost til it comes down at least $100.

They may even have upsold me on the Elite.

Same here. The black was one of the main reasons I went for an elite. I need my stuff to match. The 360 was the best Xmas gift I have ever gotten. I do have too many unplayed games though

It also came with 2 games, an HDMI cable, and a 120G HD. My 6ft HDMI cables cost around 80$ each, so that's a deal right there. Black was just icing on the cake.

I watched the entire press conference.

-Best part, of course, was the Final Fantasy announcement. It's hard to impress crowds these days but FFXIII got cheers.

-Avatars didn't seem to impress but I guess they're nice to have. The faces are kinda tweaked. The eight player friend pack thing sounds cool and using the avatars in some games is neat (like the Movie Scene sequel)

-Fallout 3 looks like a winner.

-but the Resident Evil 5 graphics and game play made it take a backseat (although Fallout's story will be better)

-Gears of War2 looks amazing. Same as the first, the actual game experience looks like it's going to rock.

-Netflix announcement was expected by me (why else would the president of Netflix have joined Microsoft's board of directors a long time ago. This was mentioned on VV. 10,000 movies. Is that a lot? sounds like it but they didn't really say which movies would be available. If they eventually have the majority of their collection available it will be a huge benefit to owning an 360.

-That new game where you put yourself in the movie looks super lame and the people demo'ing it looked ridiculous

--It's clear that people like Rock Band more than Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero World Tour barely got any reaction while Rock Band 2 got some cheers.

--Lips karaoke type game looks appealing because you can use your own music collection and aren't with what they release.

Nice press conference for MS. Didn't like the main speaker. He seemed like a Steve Jobs wannabe.

Agreed. I just don't get it. As the owner of a 360, I'm just happy I get to play it. I do get a small bit of satisfaction watching all the PS3 people eat crow though, but that's about it. At the end of the day, more people now have the chance to play what will hopefully be a great game. I don't get why the PS3 crowd is about ready to boycott Sony and sell their PS3s. It's not like something was taken away from them. It's really childish and says a lot about people that even post lke that. I think exclusives suck anyway.

Sad thing is that a lot of people bought a ps3 for the sole reason of it having FF13. Why they'd do that before the game even comes out I dunno, but you'd probably find it's a big reason for more than a few people. I know I'm psyched as hell that it's coming out on the 360!

As for RB2 vs GH:WT. Fuck Activision. I'll put my support behing Harmonix any day. RB DLC working in RB2? That alone is enough to win me. Activision refusing the allow the RB guitar to work with GH3 just shows how big of a dick they are and adds another reason.

Music creation holds little interest to me. I'm no musician, I can't compose a song to save my life. And most of the people who will be trying to won't be able to compose songs either, but that won't stop them! So signal to noise ratio is going to be terrible. I dunno, it strikes me more as a gimmick than a good game feature.

Man, the Nintendo presentation was almost painful to watch. I kept waiting to hear a big game announcement, but it never came. I was able to watch 4 people play virtual instruments for 5 minutes straight though. That's it? That's the best they got?!?

I also think it's misleading when Nintendo says theyve got all these great titles that everyone wants, like Spore, GTA, Guitar Hero, CoD4, ect., when they don't have these games at all. They have dumbed down, inferior versions of these popular titles. They share name alone.

Very ho hum IMO. I was really excited about a Kid Icarus game, but notta. There wasn't even a Zelda/Mario/Metroid announced. It's was nothing but more flash game bullshit.

Yeah, I didn't view the news of their little ad on that will make the wii mote more accurate any big news, cause I felt the wii mote should have been far more accurate from the jump.

I don't think they have any big titles coming out soon, but somehow that never seems to matter for them, the wii just keeps on selling, very strange. Don't get me wrong, I like the games I have on the wii, but I'll likely never buy a cross platform game on the wii.

I think that is what attracts companies to create games for the 360 and possibly why almost every Wii 3rd party game is complete ass. People go where the money takes them. Game sales for the Wii just aren't that great when compared to 360.

I am predicting not a lot from Sony. They continue to try and play catch up to the 360 in every way (live/home, etc) and they just can't pull it off, the 360 always does everything better.. With Microsoft's announcements it's going to take something HUGE to make a difference, the way I see it the 360 will probably pass the other two consoles in every respect by this time next year.

As far as I'm concerned, Little Big Planet is the killer ap for PS3. That game looks amazing, and is a worthy exclusive that makes me envious of PS3 owners. It's actually the only game, but it's a huge one to me personally. I think it would be fantastic for children. Fuck FF13 or yet another FPS or yet another continuation of a series. It's all about innovation and starting another franchise for the next gen platforms.

Yeah collosal fuck up on Sony's part, but then MS is shelling out stupid amounts of money to try and pump up the 360 this year. I wonder what the thought process is behind the openning of the cash reserves, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Sony seems satisfied to have won the DVD format war, which is a large part of what fucked over the PS3 from day one. I don't think they want to spend any more money on it to court third party liscencing. MS is deffinately having the far superior E3 push, there is no question.

The one caviet to all this is that supposedly there will be no Japan FF13 360 version, which seems pretty odd and kind of defeats the entire purpose of the 360 JRPG press, which was to get a foothold in the Japanese console market. I also don't buy into the whole concept that they went multiplatform to reach a wider audience, because all Square has ever cared about are the Japanese sales numbers and they would have tried to port the thing to the Wii if that were the case. I think this is more of a case of they were making a PC version anyhow and MS was prepared to suck Squares cock to the tune of a few million, just to maintain their edge over Sony in the NA market.

To be sure, though, if Sony doesn't get its shit together with some descent RPGs, the PS3 is going to end up being mostly a Blue Ray movie player down the road.
