I think it might finally be time to buy a DS

After briefly teasing Japanese gamers with a countdown Web site, Square Enix has apparently decided just to give up the goods. The goods in question? Chrono Trigger is heading to the DS this holiday season in a specially enhanced update (don’t you dare call it a port!). The game will contain the original SNES storyline in its entirety while adding some DS-specific features, including touch-screen functionality and a dual-screen presentation. If that’s not enough, Chrono Trigger for the DS will also add a wireless play mode and an entirely new dungeon. Excellent!

This is one of those fucking games that Square releases specifically for drooling idiots like me. See also: FF4. No matter how many god forsaken times they release it, on however many platforms, I absolutely cannot stop myself from buying.
