This is my suggestion for a thread level banning system.
Thread Locking is an acceptable practice, right?... I'm using this to rationalize that when genuine conversation is going on and one or more people are being douchebags, that they could be banned from a single thread so that thread can recover and continue sans douchery.
Is that against the 'spirit of VV' ?
Probably... just got a little frustrated today (yet didn't shit on the thread because of it)

Respect the opinion of others and it doesn't matter. No matter how stupid you think a person's comments are, they are that person's opinion. You have no idea what has gone into forming that opinion through a lifetime of experiences, and silencing a person just for those views is idiotic.
