So it sounds very much like Animatrix in design. Very cool and something I am now looking forward to. I thought the Animatrix ideas and execution were great and always wondered why there either weren't more of them or another similar concept.
DC did a very smart move here combining 2 genres (Batman/Anime). Imagine if Marvel had done the same thing with a Wolverine/Xmen theme? I hope it does well enough to see more of the same in the future.
