Tales of the past 3
Tales of the past 3
Hey guys, I linked you Tales of the past 2 about a year ago. It was a 42 minute long machinama I took part in, as a voice actor (the now main character - Blazer)
Well, we released the third one, which was released today, and has had over 50k downloads already.
It's absolutely colossally huge, 2.3 gigs, so I don't mind if you don't get it. It's an hour and half long, and frankly, it's easily the best WoW Fanfilm made so far (modesty ftw).
All the same, I imagine you will probably feel the same if you end up having the time to download and view it
It's a blast, and Martin, my Danish friend who made it, has really raised the bar in terms of this style of cinema. If you love WoW, I really recommend taking the time to see this.
For the few who end up downloading, I hope you enjoy it

Re: Tales of the past 3
I'll give it a shot...but is anyone seeding? I downloaded the torrent from the first link, but I only connect to 6 leechers.
Re: Tales of the past 3
Yeah there are seeders, on some of the torrents. I'm not sure which ones though. But the seeding is getting better.
With the large amount of downloads (86k after a day and a half) it's all a bit choppy and messed up at the moment, as it sorts itself out.

While I can't really stand sitting through 10 minutes of machinima let alone 90 minutes of it, I have been hearing a lot of good things about this. So if it's the kind of thing you enjoy, you may want to check it out! Or something.

The Machinima skill is something I have a lot of respect for. I minored in video production back in college, and I'm in awe of the many things people can do using WoWModelViewer and MyWarcraftStudio.
Myndflame needs to hurry up and publish their third Illegal Danish movie. They've been cockteasing about it for the better part of a year.

I saw it on world of raids and started downloading it via WCM torrent last night. It's huge so I hope it's worth it
I haven't seen the first two so I hope this doesn't make it less enjoyable...

Re: Tales of the past 3
It shouldn't, I'm pretty happy how it turned out, although Martin does have a tendency to be a bit too cheesy for my liking.
I'm surprised people as far away as Dregor have already heard good things about this. It's up to 126k downloads now after 36 hours of being released

Cromfel's site (ret paladins) also advertised the wm.com link since the abundance of paladin in the movie.
Awesome job Nick!

Re: Tales of the past 3
I was expecting a 10 min flick when someone linked it through our guild forum. Instead I got a full length WoW film I throughly enjoyed. Now I have to go watch the other two!
I feel like I should have paid some sort of viewing fee - congrats to you, Martin and the others. In fact, thanks
It can also be viewed here: http://www.stage6.com/user/nimloth23/vi ... 1159/ToTP3

Re: Tales of the past 3
edit: 400,000 downloads in a week
Re: Tales of the past 3
Well, this film in combined sites has been downloaded about 2 million separate times. Good fun!
Re: Tales of the past 3
I actually watched this awhile back and enjoyed it. I'm not big into machanima (or whatever it's called) but it was pretty cool nonetheless.
