Stun Gun used on Pregnant Woman

TROTWOOD, Ohio (AP) - A policeman forced a pregnant woman to the ground and used a stun gun on her when she refused to answer the officer's questions and resisted being handcuffed, authorities said Thursday.

The woman went to the police department in this Dayton suburb on Nov. 18 to ask officers to take custody of her 1-year-old son, said Michael Etter, Trotwood's public safety director.

The woman told the officer she was "tired of playing games" with the baby's father, Etter said. The woman refused to answer questions, became frustrated and tried to leave with the child, Etter said. The officer feared allowing her to leave could jeopardize the child and he decided to detain her to get more information.

He said the officer grabbed the woman, got the child away from her and forced her to the ground. When she resisted being handcuffed and tried to get away, the officer used the stun gun on her, Etter said.

The woman wore a winter coat and did not tell the officer she was pregnant, Etter said. "She was totally uncooperative," he said.

The woman was arrested for obstruction and resisting arrest and transported to jail, Etter said. When she arrived at the jail, it was discovered that she was pregnant, and an officer took her to the hospital, he said. The condition of the woman and the fetus was not known.

The FBI is investigating the arrest and Etter said the police department is conducting its own probe to determine whether excessive force was used.

He said the officer remains on duty.
Whoa! I wonder if they ever tested that shit before...

What kind of scumbag tries to give away her 1 year old son to the police because she's 'tired of playing games' with the father?... the baby is probably better off dead. Funny, she was trying to give away one of her kids, but I bet she'd sue them for millions if the unborn one dies.

Yeah, I'm sure she will sue. And I am also sure that some worthless fuckstain of a judge will allow the case to be won. Then she won't just be an ignorant good for nothing bitch, she'll be a rich ignorant good for nothing bitch, which is much worse.

What should really happen, without a trial mind you, is they should take custody of her child, immediately take custody of the coming child when it is born, and put her in jail for the rest of her life. She is probably going to be a drain on our tax money either way, might as well put her where she can't do any more fucking damage.

Yeah, our judges have made our legal system into an absolute joke. They have made it so no one has to assume even a hint of responsibility and people like cops have to be afraid to even do their job half the time for fear of a law suit and losing their job. It is one of the biggest issues in our society in my eyes right now, but hey - I won't worry about it, no big deal.

Maybe worrying about someone in Africa that is going to die of AIDS in the next few years getting a fucking laptop is a better use of my time.

Maybe you should pack up and go back to whatever country it was you came from, we have far more than enough morons here already, and this message board is a shining example of that.

Maybe you should...

Seriously, your angsty replies to everything anyone posts that you just might disagree with was funny, it really was, but it's getting old. Go listen to some my chemical romance and cut your wrists because of all of the illegal aliens and wasted aid money in africa or something you fucking tool.

Do you know how ridiculously difficult it is to get any sort of damage award out of the police? Suing the police is very difficult and a waste of time unless you're involved in a truly outrageous situation. Police are rarely even fired for excessive force or civil rights complaints.

The complaint is more valid in other contexts, but I believe if you search for cases where judges have awarded damages against police in frivolous situations, or outrageously enormous damage awards in legitimate situations, you'll be surprised by how little you find.

That would require him to do actual research and base what he posts on "facts" and not his overwhelmingly distorted and one-sided "opinions" that he chooses to spew all over these forums.
