Hillary is a Cold Heartless Bitch

Needed a catchy title!

This good news deserved its own thread:

Clinton slips behind Republican foes in new poll

Democrat Hillary Clinton would lose to all major Republican White House candidates, according to a hypothetical election matchup poll Monday, reversing her months of dominance over potential 2008 challengers.

The Zogby International poll was the latest sign that withering attacks on the former first lady were chipping away at her opinion poll leads just 38 days before the Iowa caucuses, the first party nominating contests.

In the new survey, Clinton trailed Senator John McCain 42 percent to 38 percent, former New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani by 43 percent to 40 percent and former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney by 43 percent to 40 percent.

She also lagged behind former Arkansas Republican governor Mike Huckabee by 44 to 39 percent, and former Senator Fred Thompson by 44 to 40 percent in hypothetical general election matchups.

Clinton's top Democratic challengers Barack Obama and John Edwards however would still beat their hypothetical Republican rivals in potential 2008 contests.

In July, Clinton held a five point lead in the same poll over Giuliani, edged out McCain by two points and had a clear lead over other contenders.

A Rasmussen poll last week had Clinton also falling behind Giuliani in a hypothetical matchup of the November 2008 general election, and narrowly beaten by McCain.

An average of all previous similar polls gives Clinton a narrow lead over possible Republican candidates.

While the US political system of awarding delegates by state in a general election would not necessarily translate into a Clinton election defeat on the basis of the poll, it may provide more fodder for her opponents.

Clinton has repeatedly portrayed herself as the most electable Democratic candidate who could stand up to Republican assaults in a general election.

But Obama and Edwards are increasingly starting to challenge that claim, as the race heats up, as other polls suggest that Clinton's clear lead in the Democratic White House race may be narrowing.

The Zogby poll was conducted online among 9,150 likely voters across the United States between November 21 and 26, and carried a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage point.
How could anyone like Hillary? She has zero personality. She acts like an emotionless robot and has a horrible platform. The sooner she's out of the picture the better. (I hope she isn't picked up as a VP for a real candidate or that candidate will meet their fate within the first year of their presidency at the rate the Clintons knock people off for political gain or coverups)

If the democrats are serious about regaining the White House, they need to lock Hillary away in a closet. If you're backing a republican, this is very bad news as Hillary would be easy pickings to defeat. I'd rather see two strong candidates go at it in 2008.

Every time I think of Hillary, I see those videos of her forcing that hyena howl on every talk show she visited. She was forcing herself to laugh in, I'm sure, an attempt from her handlers to make her more personable. It just made her seem even more fake and without substance.

According to the polls done by the Economist this last week, Clinton and Guiliani come out on top in most categories. Depending on the outcomes of Iowa and New Hampshire, I speculatively predict these two to be the nominations, with Obama having an outside chance for the Dems. Then again, a lot can happen between now and January.

I don't really see how the Democrats could possibly lose the election, even with Hillary, but then again I thought that the last time and look what retardedness ended up happening. It's not like she's any worse than Guiliani.

Unfortunately Nick, with the way the media and candidates pick each other apart, you get crappy company sponsored candidates. No one wants their skeletons out of the closet. I personally would not care if the President was a pot smoking bi-sexual swinger if they knew the job and those things did not effect their job preformance.

The low pay means that the only ones going for it are people hungry for power, and the fact that anyone who wants to relook at how we do things gets pushed back by his own party. I know we have a 2 party system, but lets face it, we really have one party with 2 faces that are essentially the same thing, running. I do not buy into the Gore would have saved us crap. The 9-11 attacks were planned during the Clinton and Sr. Bush campaign and the President really only has as much power as his/her congress will allow. He would have possibly gotten some environmental issues through, but he was able to do that without being President, it may have even helped that he was able to do more things on the issue. As President he would have had many other issues pulling him away from it.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

Hungry for power or hungry for change (or both). I like to think that duty can be a strong motivator. I just re-read Executive Orders by Tom Clancy and the idea of an "outsider" president who isn't a politician and beholden to special interests for getting elected just makes me giddy, but the only way it would ever happen is a freak of circumstances (such as what happened at the end of the previous novel, Debt of Honor).

I don't care for Hillary and will probably vote for the Democratic candidate if it is not her, or the Republican candidate if it is her. I don't care that she's a woman, I have no issues with women in charge or I would not have gotten married (twice). I just don't care for her as a person.

That's exactly the problem the democrats face. If they end up nominating Hillary, they pretty much give the election to the republicans and that sucks. I'm not backing any of the candidates yet but I don't want to see a republican win by default.
