Black Sheep DVD

This is a film about zombie sheep. I'll let that sink in before I continue...

Ok. At this point you're either on the train, or letting it pass you by.

The story is about a man with a bad case of sheep-phobia. He returns to the country to sell his share of the family farm to his brother. Low and behold, the brother has been doing genetic resrearch on the sheep. Some New Zealand hippies steal a sample and accidentally release the zombie-sheep plague. Once bitten, people... wait for it .... turn into giant man-sheep monsters.

The pros to this film defiantely outweigh the cons. First off, it's less than 1.5 hours long. They don't drag the concept out too long. Second, the effects were done by WETA, so they are top notch. The movie also sports an amazing quanity of graphic and realistic gore. There are a couple of laughs here and there as an added bonus. I'll reiterate the high production values. This is not a B movie with all the below average production values that come with that title.

The feel of this film is very close to Slither, from last year. So, if you liked that movie, you will probably enjoy Black Sheep.

As far as cheesy, half funny horror films go, I give it a solid 8 out of 10.

Here is the exchange between my wife and I when I got home from Best Buy.

"Hey, I got a movie called Black Sheep."

"You mean that comedy with the fat guy that died?"

"No, this is about zombie sheep."

"You're fucking kidding me. Why aren't we watching that right this very second instead of talking about it?"

Im still waiting for it, want it to fall to a decent price before buying it . But its a buyer for sure, just like Slither was . Zombie sheeps and gore just cant be bad

Yeah, it was pricey, but I had to use 75$ in Best Buy points within 2 days. I probably wouldn't have paid 20$ out of pocket for it. Who am I kidding? I probably would've.
