I bought a new car, so on my trade in I want to remove the kenwood I had installed. The dealership where I bought my new car says they can't do it. They said they need a special tool, and that it will cost me 40 bucks to get it out.
Doesnt seem like it would require a special tool does it? Can I get that tool and go up there and pry it out myself?
Anybody know?

well they need that U shaped tool, but I think we just shoved the faceplate in there, so it's the faceplate that needs removing. I told him if he wouldnt do it I was bringing my screw driver up there and prying it out myself.

Update:
It took me less than 30 seconds to remove it from the dash with a screwdriver.
Stupid dealership hassling me for change...
