I don't like to see us lose posters... More aggravating to me than shitty posts is a lack of posts. When I refresh the site, I want something new to read. I may not have liked kyoukan, but I definitely don't like that she's gone... same goes for noel, voronwe, and even cartalas.

Also, I like the new layout better.

The "new" layout (prosilver or whatever) was incredibly retarded, but thankfully you can easily switch it back to subsilver. How this is difficult is beyond me.

It all went to hell when Cart was banned. Its reason for living was taken away when Cart was given the boot.

Unbanning Cart would probably bring back some more old posters.

A couple things:

a) how would bringing back the single largest cause of people leaving the CE forums and other boards entice people back? Seriously: who left over this "injustice"? I know Kylere had his shit in a knot but he's about the only one I recall stopping (not entirely sure it was over this or some other shit about people posting about his wife or something).

b) not that I ever hope it would happen, but if Sylvus should have an aneurism and allow Cart back, would he even come back, considering his vitriol over being banned in the first place?

If Winnow wants to make the comparisons (again) Cart was a mind numbing annoyance where Kyou wasn't always. She made me laugh at times, sometimes she made me think, others I thought of buying a shotgun to defend myself in case she rampaged Eastward (I'm only one province to the east if she followed the Trans Canada). The closest we have to her these days is Nick, and he doesn't have her flair

I'll admit that many of us have played the "one line retort" game at various stages and in fairness, Kyou was probably 2nd to Cart but at least she had more than that in her repertoire. And yes, Kyou pouting over the board layout when she can easily fix it herself is lame but its her perogative.

People here are attempting to argue that kyoukan was funny or entertaining while ignoring the fact that so was Cart to many of us. Kyoukan required more words to be annoying while Cart was more efficient.

Cart's comments weren't going to change the flow of this board but his banning has made a negative impact for sure. He was banned because he didn't entertain the people in charge but that shouldn't matter on a board like this.

My guess is that kyoukan's sugar daddy discovered the board and told it not to post here anymore or lose allowance privileges. Even kyoukan was smart enough to be able to go into the control panel and switch themes.

It's doubtful Cart would even post here again or much but it's the principle of it all, and a huge overreaction to have permanently banned him in the first place. Lame at the very minimum.

Lets clean the slate and unban all of the banned people!

Well, it's not particularly current, kyoukan hasn't posted here in months.

To answer the original question, I talked to her recently and she's quite alive and seems like she has some other stuff going on and just lost interest in posting here. As someone said, it's happened before, so perhaps she'll be back again. Who knows.

The reason I don't post anymore here is simple. There's hardly anyone left here worthy of discussing anything with.
