Rush Hour 3

Post by Bubba Grizz »

I went with a friend to see this yesterday. It has become not so much a tradition but more like a rule that we go see Jackie Chan movies ever since we saw Operation Condor when it first came out. This movie seemed like it followed the basic forumula for any "B" movie. You knew right away who the bad guys were even though it was supposed to be a shock. The jokes almost seemed forced as if they were trying too hard to bring back the magic from the first two movies. While I did laugh at a few parts the movie was just not the same and I think they would have been better for not making it. My suggestion is to wait for the dvd if you need to complete your collection or something. In fact, wait for it to hit the bargain bin before buying it. (can't say download it because that would be wrong)

As a movie movie it's not all that great or surprising. As a continuation of the series it wasn't that bad but it wasn't as good as the first two. I felt some of the fight scenes lasted a little too long and weren't very exciting.

6/10

Wasn't very impressed. Seemed like several times Chris Tucker tried too hard to be funny, nonstop

That and the CG fight scenes were too much of a distraction to me. It looked less real than the other two movies.

Definitely a DVD purchase, bargan bin style
