Hot Fuzz HD-DVD

Post by Canelek »

For those that were fans of Shaun of the Dead, you have probably already seen the film, and for those that saw the film, either liked it or didn't....

So, for those that did enjoy Hot Fuzz, you will really enjoy the DVD or HD-DVD. Of course, with HD-DVD or BRD, you will get a better picture and certainly better interactive menus. The disc features excellent extras, including some fucking hillarious outtakes, the other side of Danny's notebook (animated flip-pages) and great commentary tracks....there is more, but I found that the outtakes were alone worth the buy.

Fucking format war... well, I have a 360 so the extra $200 was no big deal considering the huge visual improvements, not to mention the improvement in quality to regular DVDs... either way, this is a great addition. Granted this is most certainly not Shaun' and even the awesome extras are not as cool as the aforementioned extras....but, if you liked Hot Fuzz, this is a worthwhile addition to your collection.

Their tour of the US was funny...I never would have thought about what could happen during a phone interview.

Oh yeah, and they had the drafthouse screening/q&a!

I loved it. The movie didn't go the way I had expected it to which had me delighted. It was kind of like watching Dusk to Dawn where it suddenly becomes a Vampire movie (not that this is a vampire movie by any means). Just that kind of a twist that made me say, "Holy shit, That's Awesome".

I watched the DVD last night. I'm glad I bought it, but it was no Shaun of the Dead! Still, it was highly entertaining with some silly twists throughout. I hope they keep doing movies of this nature. Half parody and half genuine film is a pretty unique genre and they do it well.

I think I was in a really shitty mood when I saw this movie. I was expecting the world of it, but it just didn't get me. The beginning was hilarious, and the end was pretty fucking funny too. Pegg's character just seemed to annoy me during the entire middle part of the movie, until he goes apeshit at the end.

I think I was in a really bad mood though, so I'll give it another try!
