Years ago, the company I was working for at the time hired some efficiency goons to evaluate our processes shortly after we were purchased by a private equity firm. I was assigned the duty of participating in a "Terms and Acronyms Review Panel" to standardize the T&A we used throughout the company. The panel consisted of myself and 4 other low level managers, and I was the only male on the team. I was chastised by my fellow panel members when I suggested that our first order of business should be selecting a better name for our efforts. The T&A team went on to be one of the most ridiculed efforts of the efficiency goons.
