Rise of the Silver Surfer
If I didn't know otherwise, I'd swear this was a Ewe Boll film. And I had such high hopes for this.

Reason: because i wasn't expecting full on spoilers!

Re: Rise of the Silver Surfer
I always wanted to see Galactus eat a planet like a meatball.
Was that so much to ask?
edit. more on topic - I have zero expectations for this movie...I don't even remember seeing the original in the theatre, I think I watched it on dvd or something. I thought the first one was weak as all hell, but I did like looking at Alba. I'll probably watch this one on disc as well.

Re: Rise of the Silver Surfer
This one was better than the first.
Reed: I was just explaining to the girls about the Big Bang!
Overall pretty good. A little short on action this time but the dialog wasn't too bad.
Was anyone else thinking "Super Skrull" at the end?

Re: Rise of the Silver Surfer
I don't really remember the first one but I have a feeling it was better than the second that I recently watched. This has to be the worst movie I've seen this year. Plot holes as big as a crater and dialogue lamer than anything I've experienced in a long time.

Sorry, I am bringing another out of the hole.
This movie was fucking terrible. It was worse than the first one, which as an asshole full of caraway seeds.
Metro- X-gamerfan dipshit needs to die, along with this franchise.

Re: Rise of the Silver Surfer
I'd give the first one a 6.5/10 and the second a 6/10. While being far from great, they didn't sink as low as Punisher, Elektra, Ghostrider, or Daredevil IMO.
They fill the role of being light popcorn flicks that I really don't have to pay much attention to when I throw the DVD in. At least the Surfer looked cool. Also, I agree that Doom was completely unnecessary and there were very large plot holes.
Btw, in the end of the second one, the cloud flashes with lightening and you can see the shadow/outline of the old school Galacticus helm. They also didn't want to give a definate ending to the Silver Surfer, because he's rumored to have his own spinoff film.
Also, Marvel touching on all the space and immortal part of thier lore was a tad surprising to me.

Oh and to update my last post... Resident Evil: Extinction was the worst movie I watched in 2007!
