I think all politicians are royal slimebags, but still vote.

Re: Poll for John Edwards, Presidential Candidate
Quoting myself from the other thread...
I wrote:I like Edwards. I supported him during the primary in '04, but could not get behind the Kerry/Edwards ticket, and so I voted for Nader, mainly as a protest vote since it was a foregone conclusion that Bush would carry my state. I've been an early supporter of him this time around, and have been thinking of doing some volunteer work for his campaign as things begin to heat up around here later this year. Lately, my level of support for him is wavering slightly, however. It's nothing to do with Edwards, but I find myself more intrigued with Obama as I learn more about him.
Regarding a lot of the recent scuttlebutt that's been bandied about amongst the right-wing talking heads and pundits, I'm unimpressed by it. The impetus for much of it is Robert Shrum's new book No Excuses: Concessions of a Serial Campaigner. Shrum is a Democratic consultant / political analyst that has a strong track record of getting his clients NOT elected. While I'm sure that there's some degree of truth behind his version of things, I'll take his account of things with a healthy portion of NaCl, if you don't mind. I hope he expects his retirement from political life to be permanent, because with the bridges he's burning in this book, I don't see how he can expect to get back into the good graces of the Democratic party. Overall, I rate the latest hoopla right up there with the $400 hair cut / beauty shop goofiness. Yes, it's a little silly to spend 400 bucks on a hair cut, but having a good stylist come to you isn't going to be cheap. As silly as it is, the way it was overblown by his political opposition was even sillier, and the latest Shrub-inspired talking points are much the same.

Re: Poll for John Edwards, Presidential Candidate
final poll results... 7 people would vote for him, 17 would not... only 4 people think he's genuine... and 8 people don't give a crap.
Do you like these poll questions?... I will try and do this for other candidates when something comes up.

With the few polls that have been attempted here having been reset, I don't think were' getting the full results. I had like 794 (give or take a gaggle) WinnowFash wrote:final poll results... 7 people would vote for him, 17 would not... only 4 people think he's genuine... and 8 people don't give a crap.

The next update for phpBB3 just needs to fix the "wipe if edit" bug...and also people will know not to edit their original post even if you don't touch a poll question.
