2 New Star Wars Films coming

Post by Tyek »

http://videoeta.com/news/2277
From a galaxy far, far away comes news out of nowhere that George Lucas is planning two new live-action Star Wars movies. I could tell you what little I know or let the big man tell you himself.

"They won’t have members of the Skywalker family as characters. They will be other people of that milieu."

Leave it to Lucas use a big word such as milieu and to leave us with more questions than answer. The force is very strong with this one.

We do know that these movies will run approximately one hour in length each and be intended to debut on TV. Of course, these things have a way of changing and what company would rather debut a new Star Wars for free on TV when they could literally pack the megaplexes for weeks.

We'll set our Bothan spies to work on getting more information out of the notoriously tight-lipped Lucas.
Not much to add other then I cannot imagine them being all that great.

FYI, the Star Wars TV series still slated for a 2009 - 2010 showing, last I knew.

Yeah I bet they'll be made for TV pilots for the series.

I'm looking forward to news of the animated TV series as well. An announcements can't be far off.
