SNL Digital Shorts rock my world.
Tonight's digital short was hysterical, I was rolling through the entire thing. I don't think it's posted yet on youtube, but when it is, you've gotta watch it.
That's all.

Yeah those guys are really funny. I miss Smiegel cartoons a lot, but those guys are great. So few people do Absurdist stuff as well as they do. I rate them up with Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson's writing.
All their shit gets youtubed by them and they update it on their site, but the newest one isn't up yet. http://www.thelonelyisland.com/

Thanks for the link, Kyo. Every time I tune in, I'm lucky enough to see them doing one of these. Ithink my favorite was Chronic-what-cles of Narnia, but last night's ranks up there in terms of mindless hilarity.
Did Smigel leave the show? I don't remember him taking off, it just seemed like the cartoons stopped one day. I loved the X-Presidents sketches and the Ambigously Gay Duo. I'm glad Andy Samberg (sp?) has been there to replace Smigel, because losing these short clips would have been yet another blow to the show.

There have been 4 or 5 Smigel cartoons this season, so he's still involved with the show at least occasionally. I do miss the regularity of his work in past seasons, though. It's been 5 years since we've seen Ace and Gary, other than the best of TV Funhouse episode a year or two ago, which only replayed a couple of old episodes and had A&G hosting the show.
Last night's short was funny, but not on my list of favorites. The Sofa King skit probably got the most laughter out of me, even though it's an old joke.

It looks pretty funny. I love the premise.

The whole skit was a parody of a season ender for the O.C...apparently one of the characters shoots another character, and during the death scene this music starts to play. The "Dear Sister" sketch was a joke off that episode.
If a nutcase is going to watch a show and then decide to kill people, he would have been set off by anything at all. If it wasn't "dear sister", it would have been any number of any influences in our daily lives. Blaming comedy on the VT attacks is foolish.

Honestly I didn't find that funny at all. And it has nothing to do with recent events. Maybe you need to watch The OC to fully appreciate it.
