Beta Sign Up Thread

Post by Winnow »

Figured I'd make a thread for various beta sign ups.

I'll keep applying until I get into one!

Here's Bounty Bay Online:

Graphics look similar to Vanguard:

I sacrificed my manhood in order to try this Dance Online out for VV.

Image

Here's where you are taught to stop being a man.

Image

Yes, you really look that fruity dancing...not that you can watch the dancing anyway as your eyes are glued to the arrows flying up the screen just like in Guitar Hero.

Image

It starts out simple enough but it doesn't take long to get to ludicrous speeds with the dance dance revolution type key strokes.

It's going to take a full day of drinking beer and watching sports to recover from this traumatic experience.

I think that You Tube video I linked the previous post is from another game.

Next beta!

Proving that the MMO industry is far, far superior to aged shock jocks, Acclaim’s new DANCE! Online dancing-required microtransaction-driven MMO has decreed that being a black person on the dance floor is so totally awesome, you must earn the privilege. Or, as one somewhat surprised user asks,

I GOTTA PAY TO BE BLACK?

to which a “player moderator” replied,

Black is an EXTRA feature. It makes your person look unique, so that is an EXTRA feature. Therefore, you having to PAY for it. (Or ask a friend to pay for it).

Thankfully, before Rev. Al Sharpton was made aware that MMOs exist, an actual Acclaim employee immediately chimed in with

As an optional character upgrade, we must put this in the item shop for players to acquire. This is the only way to offer the African-American heads. However, it should be EASILY accessible to all, so we made it just 1 POINT in the shop (which is basically for FREE). You don’t have to spend any money to get it, just play the game and earn points. Thanks!

DANCE! has multiple currencies, and the 1 point referred to can be earned by, apparently, not being black briefly.

Acclaim should be aware that there is in fact, no parking on the dance floor, as rival dancing-with-the-cyberbits MMO Audition has signed Hillary Duff for something or another.

Interestingly, both Audition and DANCE! strongly complain if you use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer. But if open source doesn’t free your mind, then what?
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

Obtaining MC Hammer poofy pants is the End-Game mob drop.

I find it funny that you don't have a white girlfriend option in Def Jam Icon until you've made your first Platinum Album. Now I'm not saying that they're gold diggers!

What kind of a game is that? Keep'in it real?

Winnow, you already have 25 other threads created by you that are dedicated to raising your post count.

At least put up some non-DDR pics.

Yeah, he waits to go off-topic on the threads having anything to do with focus on the PS3. Why are you reading my post anyway? If I'm to be ignored I expect some commitment.

Well, I was basically agreeing with your post. As to thinking you were someone else, I was trying to send someone a message through the Yahoo IM button when I hit ignore. It wasn't the first time, and it probably won't be the last...

Don't know! Did the install program require IE6 in the past? I'm screwed if so. I have IE 7 that comes with Vista but use Firefox 2.xx

Installation is fine no matter what you use, but you could not successfully log into the servers unless you did so through IE6.

World in Conflict Beta Signup

first come first serve,

http://www.worldinconflict.com/beta/

hurry it up!

This one looks good.

Edit:

Those with Newsleecher can find the Client posted an hour ago in alt.binaries.boneless

just search for "world in conflict"

That will be a lot faster than downloading it off the net after getting your beta key using the first link. (1.67GB)
