Greatest Arcade Game Ever

Post by Sylvus »

Okay, I'm slowly going to begin un-stickying the nomination threads and making polls for them. Polls will run for 7 days. Which is the greatest Arcade Game ever? Consider all franchises lumped together, so NBA Jam is any version, as is Mortal Kombat and so on.

imo mortal kombat and street fighter are the two main games that kept arcades alive for the last few years. An arcade is tough to find around here anymore.

In my area it was all about MK :-)

Meh, I wanna change my vote, I meant Galaga.

SF2 was the best and worst thing that ever happened to the old fashioned arcade. It was an awesome game, but when it was ported over to the SNES, it really showcased how far the control pad had come. The 4 button 2 trigger system was pretty revolutionary at the time, and let them exactly mimic the arcade 6-button.
