Worms

Post by Funkmasterr »

I have been a huge fan of these games in the past, I can't count the hours I have spent playing this with friends at home on my PC, and it just got released on XBL yesterday - so I had to buy it immediately.

It is fun, it is very similar to the PC version/s - with the only downside being a bit of the customization has been taken away (setting how much damage weapons do, how many crates fall and what is in them. And if there is a way to make custom levels I haven't figured it out yet.)

The controls are pretty easy, the only thing I found hard to do was advanced roping (like swinging yourself from underneath something up over and around it) - I had a pretty damn hard time getting used to that on the joystick for some reason.

If anyone is a fan of this I would pick it up - it's 800 points. And if you want to battle online I have a feeling I'll be online quite a bit playing this in the near future.

I haven't popped down the 800 points for it yet but am considering it. I hadn't tried Alien Hominid either but I am seriously considering it after trying it out last night.

It's seriously much better than the web-based flash game I tried a few weeks ago.

I was wondering what that other one was, maybe I'll grab the trial of it and see what it's all about.

Me too from armageddon. So far I have found it to be nearly impossible to rope to something above you and throw yourself over and around it, I guess maybe I'll get it down eventually but it sure is about 1500% harder than it was on the pc.

Then it's not really worth looking into for me. Worms was fun, but quite shallow. I think I'd just ruin good memories by pursuing a new version. God, I can't believe they ever went 3D.
