I know that there were many more Burundi threads, but why not choose this one?
This is in reference to The Gazelle Foundation, and Austin's ties to Burundi. I was rather surprised when I heard mention of Burundi on the local news channel, and I thought of all of the Burundi references here...

Murakoze!
Thank You
The Gazelle Foundation thanks everyone who participated in the EAS/RunTex Run for the Water on Sunday November 11, 2007. With over 1800 participants from around the county the 10-mile race, 5K fun run and kids K helped the Foundation raise over $20,000 toward its goal of funding water wells in Burundi. While it's a great start, the Foundation would like to surpass this effort through additional donations and future events.
"I am excited and thankful for everyone who came out today," said Gilbert Tuhabonye. "We had a great event and we are touched by the strong community support." The EAS/RunTex Run for the Water was made possible by RunTex, EAS, and Adidas. The Gazelle Foundation is appreciative of their efforts along with individual sponsors including Stratus Properties, Albert Saenz Realtor, Capitol Cities Asset Management, Kimbia Software, Relevant Radio, Stacy E. Miller, DDS, and Trilogy Travel Management Services.

Yeah we tried and tried to hold these in Bujumbura but we lost too many participants to lions...
