Bowl Tally
As of today

Big 10: 2-4
ACC: 4-4
PAC 10: 3-3

It's not like the Big 10 losers played the strongest teams in the nation, either. At least the Big East WON their bowls.

I've been waiting on bringing that up until after OSU plays Florida.Sabek wrote:Big 10 is 2-0 against SEC in the bowls this year.masteen wrote:It's not like the Big 10 losers played the strongest teams in the nation, either. At least the Big East WON their bowls.
If Big 10 is a bunch of losers what's that make the SEC?
Going into the game last night, my head was all topsy-turvy. Cheer for the school I hate as much as anyone else, or for the school from the conference I hate the most? It doesn't matter which way I went, I feel like I'll never be clean again!

I was happy to see Boise win..maybe that will give the NCAA another push in the playoff direction. I haven't been too impressed with the bowl lineup otherwise. Seems like I keep turning on games that have ranked teams playing against unranked teams, i.e. Texas beating up on someone (Penn State?). I would really like to see a decent system.

Texas beat Iowa, 26-24. I didn't see the game, but is that "beating up"?Deward wrote:Seems like I keep turning on games that have ranked teams playing against unranked teams, i.e. Texas beating up on someone (Penn State?). I would really like to see a decent system.

And Penn State beat Tennessee 20 - 10...so they weren't getting beat on by someone else...Sylvus wrote:Texas beat Iowa, 26-24. Iowa would have won if not for the slowest WR in the entire game who was able to catch the hail mary and still get tackled at the 5 with a good 7 yard head start on the defensive backs.Sylvus wrote:Texas beat Iowa, 26-24. The knock on the Big 10 is never the 4 good teams they have every season, its the fact that the other 7 are so Godawful.
I have a feeling that Fulmer will be under pressure next season, but with Urban, Tuberville, Saban going to Bama, LSU, and of course his arch-nemesis now in South Carolina, he's gonna get bounced. He really needs to get a new QB coach.
I also think that Penn State is going to be in pretty good shape post-Joe Pa, as his assistants did a fine job running the team with him stuck in the booth. If they can keep recruiting kids that, while not necessarily the highest rated recruits, really fit what they do, they will be set.

Speaking of subjugation... have you regained your composure enough to post, Zammykins?
