Pursuit of Happyness

Post by Deward »

My wife and I caught this recently and I must say it is an excellent movie. Acting was superb. Will Smith really does a good job and his son is going to be a great actor as well. Some of the shit the guy went through in his life was amazing. I had it pretty rough growing up and can relate somewhat to this guy's life. Only thing I was disappointed in was that it ended rather suddenly. You will know what I mean when you see it.

This will be added to the DVD collection when it is released.

Rating: 9/10. This is a good movie to take a date too.

What was the name of the recent version of this? I could have sworn it did not come out too long ago, and I was kind of shocked that this one came out so soon after it...then again, it might have been that I just saw it recently and it was released quite a while back.

*edit* I did some searching, and I have no clue where I saw this man's story before. It wasn't on the 20/20 episode I saw mentioned in my searches either...

Yeah my son and I went to see Balboa and Happyness back to back yesterday. Both were really great movies showing what can be achieved when you put your mind to it and don't allow anyone or anything stop you. Will was really great in this.
