I loved this movie. It plays out much like a video game, or an animated movie because of how long some of the scenes go without cutting. Its insane. Much like Snake Eyes, or Gerry. The sci fi futuristic setting is the best ive seen since Blade Runner and the world seems very real.
All in all, one of the best films of 2006, if not the best.

If you dont like it your a shit head.

Good movie. It did feel sort of like a video game at the end there. I wanted to keep hitting "A" to take cover. The lead character played a great normal guy thrust into abnormal circumstances.

8/10 in a tough genre to do well in.

There's an excellent xvid screener (cd1/cd2) copy available on alt.binaries.movies.divx that's been out for 1-2 weeks. I think it was released last Friday in theaters.

It will be a nice DVD pickup whenever ti comes out in that format.

I know you're too cheap to actually pay to go see a movie or to buy the DVD... but could you at least keep your theft shit off this forum?

Whatever, that's cool Winnow that you're too fucking cheap to feed your tv/movie/game/music addictions that you need to steal.
It's amusing seeing you try to justify the hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of shit that you've probably stolen.

Bonus points if you can find where I actually go into detail on the topic of your rant.

Until the day I die, I'll probably continue to spend more than you on entertainment media and also continue to download additional entertainment media as well. You're free to post, stalker style, after me on threads if you wish.

Try to break this down in your head:

-buys 1 movie a year, leeches none

-buys 100 movies a year, leeches 1000

Which one does the movie industry like the best?

The theaters are never going to like me because I don't like going to the movies but the studios will like me as either I'll download and watch a movie or watch it on HBO and then go buy DVDs for the ones I like. If I download it, they get their money from the DVD sale faster than if I have to wait until it's out on HBO to watch. Either way, I'm not going to watch it in the theater and soon I'll replace DVDs with downloadable versions once they've matured to include the extras DVDs have on them.

Keep on a-troll'in.

I find it amazing the lengths you will go to justify your theft.
Your logic is so fucked up it's beautiful.

I will say one more thing before I let you get in the last word:

My collection of purchased music most definately dwarfs your collection of stolen tunes.

I'm not much into music but I can download about 1,500 mp3's an hour so how many hours would it take that to change if I wanted it to? I use the newsgroups as a 100 day rotating jukebox of about 100,000 songs and don't bother saving them. If I couldn't do that, I'd listen to one of the 1000 audio streams available for free on the net.

I bought one (1) mp3 on iTunes a few weeks ago and had to convert it to a normal MP3...why? because iTunes has already marked it as being on three different computers.

computer 1: original XP
computer 2: original XP with new motherboard and cpu
computer 3: vista upgrade (got message saying song wasn't permitted on my system)

fuck that noise. If you're going to buy music, buy the CD then rip it to mp3s or buy the Cd then download the mp3's off the newsgroups that someone has already ripped. Anything's better than that DRM crap. At the rate I change motherboards and CPUs, my entire collection would be dead after five years.

Strange. Because last time I had an issue with it, Apple lets you license 5 computers and lets you do a full reset once (1) per year.

But then since you aren't a big iTunes/Apple person, you may not have known that.

Apple wrote: How do I deauthorize all of my computers?
If you have authorized five computers, a button labeled "Deauthorize All" will appear in your Account Information screen. This button will deauthorize all computers associated with your account. You can then reauthorize up to 5 computers. Note: You can only use this feature once a year.

The flames on this thread were started by miir, and then bandwagoned by kyoukan. Nothing new there except for a John Kerryesque flip flop of roles between the two from time to time.

I responded to your question on this thread with what I knew about the movie's availability...nothing more until the tools jumped in.

I don't remember anyone asking where they could steal it. Some people actually support the things they are enthusiastic about by spending their disposable income on it rather than downloading it for free and bragging about how fucking leet they think they are.

I guess it helps to actually have a disposable income.

I answered that question. Pretty basic stuff. I could've said, "no", but that would bring me into the realm of the one liner ultra informative posts that you seem to enjoy making. I also know sylvus, unlike you, has the brainpower to make his own decisions on what he's going to see and how he's going to see it without making a moral judgment on every item that comes up.

You sound like some kind of hooker always referring to money in some way. Why so worried about money? All you need a nice treat and the type of whistle I can't hear to catch your fill of cock.

You're not too bright or have a short memory when it comes to how I spend my money. I'm not sure who you're trying to sway by attempting to infer that I have no disposable income. I could care less if people here think I'm a bum living on the streets so save your efforts. Being penniless would be better than hooking up with some rich dude and then whoring myself for spending money like you. At least you're not waiting tables anymore. Sweet.

I enjoy my hobbies and a couple of obsessed broken record stalkers isn't going to change anything here.

You are irritating. I'll give you that. I guess that's something to hang the hat you got with your allowance on!

Winnow, it's not the stealing that bothers these assholes. It's WHO does the stealing that matters. It's the same thing with who makes the off-color joke, not the joke itself that matters.

I'm actually thankful for Winnow and Kyoukan's hatred for each other (or Kyoukan's hatred for the world in general I should say... it's gotta suck being that bitchy about EVERYTHING). It keeps the board interesting and it makes me glad that I'm a very accepting and tolerant person. Thank you for making me grateful that my parents raised me the way they did and for showing me that you can't change people, and it's best to just accept them for who they are. (Koombayah and all that hippy shit too!)

Seriously, why rag Winnow for pirating/ripping stuff, he's going to continue to do it, and it's not hurting you personally... Why continue the futile struggle?

Kyoukan will continue to stalk you Winnow, why even waste the effort to point it out anymore?

Why? I'll tell you why, because if you two didn't have this love/hate relationship, I'd get bored with some of these posts, so carry on I say!!

I can honestly say that I am very grateful that I can answer that question as no. See, I like to believe that the world is a good place and that life is good. I'm afraid you'd bring me down if I knew you, and I'd hate to ruin this thing you have going by showing you what someone that loves life is like.

Really though Kyo, I don't have anything against you personally, I just like to occasionally point out how you make yourself appear because I have to wonder if anyone can truly be that angry and pissed off all the time?

Miir, don't you ever get bored of bitching about people (Winnow) stealing music? It's one of those things that doesn't even end up being a fun argument, and neither side is going to change anytime soon.

Maybe I could try and draw some attention off of Winnow and say that I look at Circuit City's ad every week and download every new cd in it (for free) and have been doing that for at very least 2 years now. There, tell me how much of a douchebag I am now, its been too long since I have had a good old fashioned personal attack aimed at me on VV!!

P.S. I do want to see this movie, I just haven't decided if I will wait till I can rent it on dvd, or download it

Like this thread? Then you'll LOVE the movie!

seriously though, i can't recall seeing a movie that i thought so highly of in a long time. the casting was really well done, and everything was well acted. the characters were likable. the dialogue was realistic. julianne moore wasn't annoying. the ending didn't make me want to punch anyone in the face. nobody was flung three feet against a wall when shot.

i heard people in the theater complaining that it didn't have an ending and that it was horrible, but these people also thought the justin timberlake movie looked good.
