Salary ranges
My leet google skills have let me down, I cant find a site that has a free salary by region comparison. Anyone know a good site for finding the average pay for a specific job in a specific location? Basically Im looking to see if moving to a big city for the money they are offering is worth it.

I haven't used it in a while, but I seem to remember them using the mid to high range of salaries rather than actually considering that most would be in the low to mid range.Skogen wrote:Salary.com is fucked up. According to them, EVERYONE I know is getting wither midly or royally screwed. Where the fuck do they get there numbers from?
If I remember correctly, Salary.com makes a lot of it's money off of websites which find jobs (i.e. Monster.com etc etc), so it's in their best interest to make it appear as if you are underpaid - so you will use their sponsors to find a new job.
Just basing this off of what I remember when i was in the job market 3 years ago.... not sure if it is still true.
