I will go see it, but that trailer didnt blow me away. I'm thinking this will fall with Daredevil and the Hulk in my books.

Eva Mendes is still looking tasty! Seems like decent entertainment to me.

Hmm, sound not working for me. Anyways, yeah, that looks fairly cheese worthy. Glad I'm not a Ghost Rider fan, I might feel crushed.

Based on the comic, I'd say it looks as it should. /shrug

It looks like it will be not as good as X-Men, but somwhere above Punisher and Fantastic Four :P

I seriously have this thing for comic movies. I fantasized about them so much when I was a kid, I feel like I owe it to myself to check them out no matter how aweful they may be.

I'd be a brother, not a sister. Although, for 100$, you can call me anything you want for 15 minutes. Touching is extra.

I guess Fairweather is a rather gender neutral name. I knew I should've named myself MANLIESTMANWITHBIGCOCK :( It's my own fault.

I have been a ghost rider fan since the early 80's and the trailer looks pretty good to me.

I thought the Fantastic 4 movie was about on par with Daredevil and much better than Punisher(which I could only stand for about 45 minutes) and The Hulk(Other than the Hulk rampage out of the military base and into San Fran, this movie stunk it up big time).

i always thought ghost rider was a rather crappy comic, but it was very sucessful.

I dunno...overall I wasn't a fan of much marvel stuff. I was much more a DC guy.

I never been a fan of Ghost Rider, but the trailer looked promising
And this comes from a gut that havent even bothered to watch the Hulk, hated Daredevil (love the comic though), avioded The Punisher (both movies) like the plague, and saw the FF trailer one time and decided to stay away.

I'll probably try and collect all the Comic movies, mainly Marvel though. I collected comics as a kid and I really enjoyed Marvel (Avengers) more. Movies like Spawn really didn't impress me because I didn't know their background story.

Well that's different. Batman can be ok, I collected it for a few years and it was mostly good (this is back in the early 90's). Vertigo comics is also a whole other ballgame. But other than that? No thanks!

Yeah, that's closer to the truth. I was hardcore about Superman when I was a kid...but I think he's a big palooka now. The whole premise behind him and the way he acts is just so dumb.
"Hi, I'm invulnerable, so I need no skills at combat to defeat you, I can just stand here while you beat the shit out of me, and then use some rediculous power to subdue you." How fucking lame is that?
I most definately enjoy vertigo now. But as far as 'true' DC, mostly it's just batman now.

When I was growing up (other than Xmen, which i really enjoyed), I was constantly confused with Marvel and what was going on where. I was a child of the 80's, and during that time, Marvel was making every other issue a crossover with other books, and you had to buy those other books to know wtf was going on. There were like 3 or 4 different spiderman books, one of which was set back in the past. They were constantly putting a new book out, of the same characters, but set in an alternate universe. WTF? Why not focus on making the current book not suck insteand of trying to get me to buy 3 or 4 more? Also, during that time, the origins of some of the characters in the Marvelverse were so outlandish, it was just ludacrist.

To contradict myself (cause no post would be complete without it) I have really enjoyed some of the older Marvel books I have read, but as far as what went on during my time period, late 80's to mid 90's (which I understand was sort of the ass of the comic time line), it was a headache to keep up with, and not terribly enjoyable to read.

And Mr. Boxer, you should probably know that, being born in Texas, Dr. Pepper actually flows through my veins.

Your point about Marvel and their goddamn-motherfucking-crossovers is so fucking true. Fuck them for what they did to Xmen too...

Marvel_Exec_01 : We only have 3 books that consistently sell!
Marvel_Exec_02: LETS MAKE 9 OF THE SAME FUCKING BOOK!!!!1 We'll have X-men, The UNCANNY X-men, New Mutants, Generation X, XForce, X-Factor, EXcalibur, X-Man, AND 1 MILLION Solo Character MINIBOOKS and the little bastards will have to have all of them!
Marvel_Exex_01: EXCELLENT! We can also mix in a tie in to one of our other 50 books that no one reads with the X-men on a monthly basis! Fantastic Four anyone? Daredevil? Make it happen!

Fuck Marvel!

FUCK REVLON!

(Revlon owned Marvel last I checked -- you knew that)
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

Marvel > DC during the 60's, 70's and 80's

Both sucked during the 90's as did most comics (there were exceptions)

00's Both Marvel, DC and smaller comic companies are putting out good stuff mixed in with too many titles overall. I have no clue what's going on with the X-Men anymore and their multiple teams and sub groups, etc. Instead of trying to follow it all, I just stick to the Astonishing X-men title. Wolverine, while having always been overexposed, is an Avenger now as well as in any other comic that can possibly squeeze him in.

DC's Vertigo line of comics has been great for the most part. Marvels Ultimate Universe has done a good job of giving the confusing world of Marvel a fresh start.

While Truant stuck mostly to DC with some X-men thrown in, I was the opposite and stuck to Marvel (and Independents) with some Teen Titans thrown in (George Perez rocked during the 80's on the Titans and Avengers)

I'd never thought it would be Nick Cage though! :D

Have to see this movie and see what they manage to keep and not.

I had to go back to last May to find the Ghost Rider thread.

This was just a paycheck movie for Nicolas Cage. He didn't bring anything to the part that couldn't have been done just as well or better by another actor. I'm a Cage fan but this movie wasn't for him.

The supporting actors gave horrible performances as well. His "girlfriend" was probably the worst actor of the bunch.

It scored low even for brain dead action entertainment for me.

Note: I knew nothing about Ghost Rider going into the movie.

4/10 is being charitable.
