new monitor reccamendations

ok, yeah, I'm gonna drop some money on a new monitor. I have between 300 and 400 to spend, but I'm thinkin about waiting til i get this job at circuit city before i get one so maybe i can snag a discount. but does anyone have any reccamendations?
