Funny isn't it how Bush is now concerned about how our moderate Arab allies will interpret the rejection of a port deal when he cared fuck all about how they would react to an invasion of a sovereign nation.
Foreign opinion now should be influential in American policy? Sometimes irony can be so ironic!

I wouldn't really call it a flip flop, Bush and his administration has been sucking Saudi cack for a long time, he's just sharing the love with other rich and influential Arab nations.
The problem comes with their policy of blurring the line between the war on terror and the war in Iraq, they did too good of a job on it. You have to remember that the first people to make a stink out of this were Republicans that had been contacted by their constituents.
That is one of the dangers in using people’s anger and fear, those emotions can't be controlled. You can't really ask for people to be reasonable after telling them for years that the enemy is all around them just waiting for any opportunity to get them. Combine that with mass ignorance and well you reap what you sow.
