yes. i found it funny. the dialogue was horrible and so was the acting. milla jovovich's hotness doesn't quite atone for the atrocity that is ultraviolet.
i found it slightly better than aeon flux, but aeon flux broke my
. ie, i didn't go home and cry after this movie.
in summary: don't pay full price to see this movie. if you go in to it expect a good movie, then you will be disappointed. if you go in expecting a humorous movie full of wtf moments, then you might not demand your money back.

I thought it was the absolute worse movie i have ever seen.
And I love bad movies. I wanted to leave this one, but I also like to finish what I start.

Just so we are clear on this:
Was it Be Cool bad?
Was it Spanglesh bad?
Was it Water World bad?
Was it Congo bad?
Was it Ishtar bad?
Was it Cat Woman bad?
Where on the scale of badness did this fit in? If its bad enough I might have to go actually see it, since I have a masocistic need to see all the worst films made.

War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .
Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

I'm not sure what the director/writer was trying to accomplish with this film but if it was to prove I have ADD than I guess it worked. I felt my mind wandering several times during the film especially during any scenes that had to do with "Advancing the plot".
Milla is there to look hot and kick ass in many different outfits (Which for whatever reason change color along with her hair every 20 seconds). The action scenes range from 'ok cool' to 'what the fuck am I watching'?
Oh and the director seems to like flying debris during action sequences since in several scenes the screen is practically covered in it. Whether it's library books getting massacred in a gun fight, buildings getting shot up/blown up, or the main character smashing the guards glass armor in the beginning of the film you'll see no shortage on flying debris (And no, don't try to wrap your head around why the guards would wear armor that shatters like glass. It'll only give you a headache).
I really can't say much about the plot since like I mentioned I wasn't paying too much attention. Something about some disease that turns people into superhumans the govt or whatever wants to wipe them out Milla is one of these superhumans fighting back some kid has some key to the cure.....nevermind, I shouldn't bother.
