Beth Orton - Comfort of Strangers

Post by Nick »

Reviewing this for a magazine at the moment, I'd never heard of her before but I really like this album, it's not the best thing thats ever created, but I don't think it's trying to be.

Just a cool, simple little collection of songs with her singing and playing the guitar, if any of you like folksy little tales of hope and regret sung with a pretty voice, you should check it out :)

She's got an awesome voice but what I've heard from the album is the musical equivalent of dramamine.

I prefer her vocals in the context of William Orbit and the Chemical Brothers.

Aye I heard she did something with the Chemical Brothers, I'll have to go have a search for it now actually.

I've heard a couple songs by her, she has a pretty nice voice.
