This was brought on by a conversation with someone (who shall remain nameless) that decided to eat a veggie burger for lunch after having referred to himself as a T-rex.

I'll eat just about anything, but don't care for hamburgers or fast food in general. Why eat that nasty shit when I can hit a Cuban or BBQ joint for the same money.

I don't get why you'd want to eat a veggie burger over a regular burger if you weren't a vegeterian. Hello? Hamburger? Meat? Veggie burger? Not a hamburger?
If you want vegetables, eat vegetables! Don't try to dress it up as something it isn't.

A burger is basically the patty sandwich. Tuna burger, crab burger, veggie burger are all burgers. I've eaten veggie burgers before because:
a. changing things up on occasion is a good thing and veggie/boca burgers taste pretty good.
b. if you're hankering for a burger and your caloric intake has been consistantly shot to shit for awhile, passing on the pound one but still getting the craving out of the way is not such a bad thing

Can you have a veggie burger and a milkshake?

I've rethought my position and while I still reserve the right to snub all of you who choose to eat fake burgers, I think Veggie Burgers aren't the worse thing on this planet. Not Dogs are...

I was in Denver a couple of weeks ago on business. Had my first Rison steak (Buffalo); It is suppose to be healthier for you, but I did not like the taste at all.

The term veggie-burger is blasphemous to begin with. It should be called a vegetable paste sandwich.
To bear the name burger required there be meat between the buns. Add bacon to the burger and you have beef and pork co-habitating in perfect harmony for the sole pleasure of my tastebuds.
Sadly, I have no words of my own for this. Another, better man has stated my feelings in ways I could never hope to equal:
"I noticed something while eating a tender juicy burger the other day. That sometimes, just sometimes if you chew slowly and thoughtfully enough, you can almost taste the cow's soul."
