Police Stations have ammo for your pistol as well, but nice to see that you took a fort!

There are only TWO Armourys on the whole map, so they are good targets for zombies(hordes) who want to feed on lots of fresh meat!
Hehe, read on the Wiki that forts are a bad idea to be in but wiht 120+ people i think it was when i went in, i feel a little safe
. ATM im just gonna stock up on gear for a while here, then try to get a little XP. Only started yesterday, so not surei ll keep playing yet.

Police departments are all over, check the wiki links in my earlier post.Cotto wrote:I cant find a bloody gun to save me live! Im down to one damn bullet, how the hell do i get more? I keep searchin places and get nothin.
Click on the buildings-guide.

Malls have gun stores with pistols,pistol clips,shotgun shells etc.
Armoury inside a Fort have ammo.
Junkyards CAN have them. (They can have lots of crap)
Police Departments are a good choice since there are several.

Roachtown for example, have 4 Police departments!
# Traves Lane Police Dept
# Sires Boulevard Police Dept
# Matraves Crescent Police Dept
# Veal Lane Police Dept
Good luck and join a group of humans working together (with medics,firefighters etc) and it's easier!
Join an Org for communication on their forums and it will be much easier.
Easier when several people works together for a same goal, defending that, having a special meetingplace instead of going solo against zombies all over!

For Hesten and other Cops in UD
Cops
* Level One:
Firearms Training - A good default. Comes in handy.
* Level Two:
Shotgun Training - Somewhat counterintuitive, yes?
Pistols used to be your best bet in low-level survivalism, but now that most PDs are locked up tight you're going to have to find alternate arrangements.
Pubs and other Taverns present you with a source of health-restoration and shotgun armament, and they're lower priority targets for zombies than a Police Department will ever be.
Besides, now that more and more zombies are getting Scent Trail you'll need to make sure you off each one to prevent them from following.
Five shotgun hits will do well in making sure this happens fast, and by carrying multiple shotguns you'll likely find this will happen easily.
Plus it means you'll deal damage efficiently, and get back somewhere safe to rest and reload.
* Level Three:
Free Running - This skill is almost becoming required. If you have it you can get in anywhere, and that's becoming quite important... since the streets are get more deadly each day. If you want a guaranteed ticket into Police Departments, you'll need Free Running.
Another point of view:
I disagree, a Cop (or for that matter, a Private) should take Pistol Training before Shotgun.
You will find roughly the same amount of Pistol Clips to Shotgun Shells, and as Pistol Clips come with 6 shots (each doing half the damage of a single Shotgun Shell), you will quickly find that your ammo supplies have triple the overall damage (and XP) potential from Pistol Clips as from Shotgun Shells.
Furthermore, you do not begin play with a Shotgun and while it's quite likely you'll find one in your first few days, a streak of bad luck could prolong your path to Shotgun.
My strong recommendation is to avoid using ANY shotgun shells at all whatsoever and instead focus on the Pistol skills.
By the time you've gotten enough XP for both (or at the very least, the first) Shotgun skills, you should have just enough Shotgun Shells stockpiled to make a single sortie killing run with Shotgun Shells alone.
As Shotgun Shells are hard to amass quickly, you will definitely at least want Basic Shotgun Training, as it nearly doubles (30% to 55%) your efficiency with Shotgun Shells and hugely cuts down on the number of wasted shells.
Some might argue that this is a strong reason why Shotgun Basic Training should be obtained BEFORE Pistol Training.
However since you will be harvesting TRIPLE the overall damage/XP potential in Pistol Clips as opposed to Shells during your looting, you will be wasting a severe ratio of potential damage (almost half, or more than half if you factor in Advanced Pistol Training).

/roar, i just bought the last 2 human skills i was missing, Knife Combat (wont use it, just bought it for completeness sake), and Surgery (i think i can count the number of times i been in a hospital for anything else than a safe house on 1 finger), time unload the rest of my guns, then die and go zombie for a while
.
Got Lurching Gait, Ankle Grab, Vigour Mortis, and 172 XP saved ATM, so can start doing some damage as a zombie soon.
