Splinter Cell Delayed + Video

Post by noel »

Splinter Cell 4 aka Splinter Cell : Double Agent has been delayed until September 2006.

For those of you who are fans of the series, here's a video to wet your appetite. Right-Click and use 'Save Target As...' please.

It could be that the only purpose for your every existence, is to serve as a warning to others.

I totally agree about the gameplay. That's the one thing I want to see the most, but it seems like all the 'screenshots' and videos are all from the movies.

I'd rather a game be delayed and done right, than rushed to shelves half finished.

That said, if it's delayed and still comes out half finished, then Jobu angry.

I hadn't heard that he's not. I'll research it though. That would make me super sad.

Everything I've read indicates that he is. He's not credited on IMDB yet, but it is listed currently on his wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Ironside

Looking for some feedback on this one if anyone has really played it yet. I played one of the Splinter Cell games for the gamecube and it was too hard for me (yeah I know haha im an idiot) that I stopped playing it on about the second level.

So my question is, is this game as ridiculously hard as some of the past ones? I'm not expecting it to be a walk in the park or anything, just not ridiculous like the first one was. I am trying to decide between this and battle for middle earth 2 (like they are even remotely similar)

Wow you really are cute, aren't you.

I just don't like games that put you in room with 20 people, and all you have to kill them with is 2 bullets. It's been a long while, but I think I remember that being the anoying thing for me is I was always running out of ammo.

the game's designed for minimum killing and maximum stealth. If you want to be able to go in guns blazing, it is still probably not a game for you.

Yeah I decided on Battle for Middle Earth for now. Since I will be picking up my pre order of Gears Of War next week I figured I shouldn't get another shooter.

Splinter Cell is a tactical sneaker that requires some thought. I've played the first three and not found them to be particularly challenging. I beat Chaos Theory without firing a shot on the maximum difficulty. Bear in mind that if you play it enough you'll find some weaknesses in the AI that can be easily exploited even on the hardest levels, but you still have to think.
