Warcraft 3 DOTA

Anyone here play Warcraft 3 DOTA often? Specifically on US East. My roommate and I play it a lot, but would be cool to find some more good people and get a good team going.

Used to play it OMGIAMRETARDEDCAUSEALOTISTWOWORDS.

Always chose Lich on teh Dark Side.

Always went Middle Lane and destroyed two of the goodie towers solo right from the start!

Later on, rest of the team joins up (Necrolyte,Healer,Archie etc) and the final assault is unstoppable! (Almost)

Long ago though!

Anyone play Tides of Blood?

It's less popular, but I prefer it. There are fewer heroes and fewer items, but the heroes are better balanced. You can purchase some units and control them along with your hero, and you can build towers which spawn additional creeps for your side to go against their towers.

I play pretty regularly with my friends. If anyone plays or would want to play, send me a PM.

Well, I think DOTA is very balanced now. Sure, some heros might be weaker 1 on 1 with another hero, but when teamed up with another could own 2 or 3 at once.

Personally though, I like Allrandom Deathmatch. Now that they have it so you dont lose a level when you die, it is the best way to play. In AR Deathmatch, every time you die you respawn with a different hero, and no hero comes up twice, when they die they are gone. Adds in another way to win as well. If the other team dies 36 times, they run out of heros and lose automatically.

I think I've played that one before. Is that the one you can get Leto from Dune?

I still play War 3, but I'm in an LoTR clan. the LoTR maps for War 3 Frozen Throne are great fun, and the community is small but tightknight. Drop Amrod a line if you are online sometime, that's my character.

LOTR? Yeah, I play LOTR hero siege sometimes. Its pretty fun. I've never tried the LOTR DOTA-style one though. What is it called exactly?

Does anyone still play this? My buddy got me back into this game (current version is 6.39) and I'm hooked again. There are way too many heroes and playing all random makes me look too much like a noob to play, so i usually stick with all pick until i can get the hang most of them. If anyone still plays then shoot zamtuk. (note the .) a /w yo.

I still play tides of blood whenever I have at least 1 other person I know who can play. Thinking of trying DOTA, since the lack of quality tob games has finally gotten to me. If you up for having another noob Zamtuk, I will play with you.

heh, the b fixed dazzle's gay ass ultimate, but not sure it did much to the geomancer. I've only been in one game where I've seen him do well and even he was 8-6, so far from a dominating game. Every other game he is the first one to die and then, of course, leave.
