The wife was kind enough to get me the Pioneer XM 2go. The hookup is a little crude as the car clip I use is the heating vent with the antenna passing around the baby seat and through the split rear seat and out the trunk. However, it really is worth it.
The O&A show was the primary reason for choosing XM, but the channel selection and categories are great. $13 a month is a pittance especially since I spend far more time listening to the radio than any other form of entertainment. Already, the number of commercials on standard radio have become extremely irritating.
I would highly recommend it for people who spend a lot of time driving.

i got the delphi roady2 for my birthday with a years subscription. the antenna went out on me, but delphi is replacing that. otherwise, i love XM... i haven't had any problems with service, though i don't use an FM transmitter. my only complaint is that there aren't enough preprogrammed buttons for all of my favorite channels ><

When I was shopping for car a couple of months ago, I was looking at Infinity, Lexus and Acura. While the Acura has plenty of reasons to buy it, it was the built in XM that finally won me over. I love my Acura TL. With XM, I'll never listen to regular radio again. I have mine subscribed with a friend, so we get a discount for multiple units. I think we pay like 10 dollars a month.

anyone have a good accurate list of channels? For example, what channel is O&A? My girlfriend got me the roady2 for xmas and it was surprisingly a breeze to setup but i only listen to 3 channels so far...

the xm radio site keeps their list up to date, and they have programming schedules for the individual stations where available (xmradio.com).

o&a is on 202 though.

I'm guessing you don't have Google as all you need to do is search for "XM Channels"

Yeah, O&A are 202 as are Ron & Fez (also former WNEW radio guys in New York).
Some of the interesting channels of note: the different decade channels which not only play music of the time but occasionally sprnkle in commercials of the time. It just brings you back in time. I also am enjoying 164, the old time radio classics. Those old radio murder-mystery shows are pretty cool.
Hockey is a pretty shitty radio sport but they have baseball which is easily the best radio sport.
The tivo-like functionality is pretty damn cool as well.

You mean it doesn't give you a channel list in your unit?

On Sirius you can scan through channels by category, and I think I have a possible of like 30 presets total.

XM announced some nice new portable XM players at CES:

A little spendy at 400.00 but look small and are able to hold 50 hours of recorded XM stuff and also your own mp3s.

The only complaint I have about my Sirius (yes I do like their programming better then XM) is that it stores the last 45 minutes of music, but as soon as you switch channels or shut it off the stuff goes away. I hope this is something they do soon as thats about the only edge that xm has over them for me.

It was nice to be able to drive into work listening to O&A, then hit record, finished the work day, and then pick where I left off.
I haven't installed my xm unit in my new pickup yet..

Have two XM receivers. Have my Alpine Head unit with an Alpine XM receiver in my car and I have the MyFi for on the go when I'm out. Been a very happy subscriber for 3 plus years and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. Local radio stations and their constant advertising turned me off to FM. I hardly listen to local radio anymore and can listen to the Cardinals and other MLB games when in season.

NFL fans have a great plus in Sirius since they have the license to home and away broadcasts of NFL games which is a bonus for their system.

I would definately recommend either Satellite Radio service to anyone.

You won't regret it.
