World Cup 2006 - Match Schedule

Post by Voronwë »

If your region cookie is set properly, all times will be local i believe.

I think the US' group (E) is pretty damn tough. Italy, Czech Rep, and Ghana. Not to mention the prize for coming in second in group E, is a date with Brazil to start the elimination round.

So i'm fairly confident we will not see the US advance as deeply into this tournament as they did in 2002 ;).

but hey, you have to beat Brazil to win, right?

Obviously Argentina's group is very difficult. England got a great draw, if they win their group, they face the 2nd place team from Germany's group - a very weak group.

Six months to wait >< Tooo long!

Make sure you persuade lots of other Americans to watch a sports contest with "World" in the title that actually contains teams from outside the USA! ;)

Ha! Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Ukrane…something tells me Spain is going to go far, that and assuming they finish 1st in the division the round of 16 match doesn’t look like it will be very hard either (hopefully there will be some revenge on Korea for last time)…by the way is anyone else planning on going to germany this summer to watch?

US actually did good in 2002, they came in 7th or 8th if i remember right...and the game with germany was a close one, would have been a lot closer if it wasnt for a shitty call on the ref

I won't be able to travel, but I'll watch as many games as I can get my hands on.
