PIRATES assault cruiseliner!
Cruiseliner off the coast of Somalia is attacked by a boatload of would-be thieves brandishing rifles and RPG launchers. Liner escapes by speeding up and blasting them with a really loud speaker.

"Captain!"
"There's a handful of pencil thin Somalians in rusty boats with WW2 technology weapons tailing us but fading fast!"
2 bullet holes and one partially exploded ordnance.
My guess is this cruise route will become the most popular in the next year as people scramble to grab reservations for the pirate experience.

The .50 cal with a depleted uranium slug can penetrate tank armor. I'm not just shooting the pirates, I'm shooting their boat!

Read an interview with the captain, he was a quick thinker for sure. And it is "slightly" more than a loud speaker heh.. same kind of devices are used to protect facilities from break-ins and terrorists etc. Smart to also not run the alarm but rather use the PA system to inform and warn them to stay inside.
Interestingly enough, this is the second time this captain is a hero. Back in the day (1980) when the Alexander Kielland oil platform capsized he was among the people who dived into the water to rescue others.
