anyone have hookups at soe?

So, I was trying to reclaim my EQ account information this weekend because apparently the last password I had set on the account no longer works... I used their live chat support and basically was told to fuck off because I couldn't recover the last four digits of the debit card used to make my account. This is because it was not my debit card, it was Botie's and he is no longer alive. Then the moron proceeds to tell me the account was created in 2001 which is fucking bullshit. So after explaining this to him he asked me for the name on the card with which the account was created, Michael Sambrone (botie.)

He tells me this is incorrect (what the fuck?)

I give him my name as this dumbass is saying it was from 2001, which is also incorrect apparently.

I offered to provide cdkeys/character information, servers, levels, even fucking equipment.

No go.. I asked him if he could atleast give me the email tied to the station name so I could try to recover it that way, he wouldn't even tell me the fucking email.

Don't really know what to do now :/

Yeh i spend all of last fri/sat dealing with SOE "customer service". It blows donkey gonads.

They dont care about cd keys, then why include them?

all they cared about was CC# info. seriosly wtf? the banks hold that info but what if it wasnt YOUR CC#? And in stragi's case your unable to contact that person. So super gay.

Run away from SoE...

Yes I have contacts. Both of my roomates are GMs for EQ and FinalFantasy onehundredfortyfive. But they couldnt do shit (except an in-game rollback after i got SOE customer service to secure the account)

Could you ask him for a higher up type person I could contact via e-mail?

Note: I offered CD keys before because in a previous dealing with SoE customer service (during Luclin) they asked me to include the cdkeys used to create the account. I have a feeling something may have been snipped out of their database if it's showing my account as being created in 2001.

Supposedly there was a problem with or a change to their accounting system in October of 2001. Most people were unaffected by this, but a subset of their customers had their subscription origination dates changed to a date in October 2001. This played havoc with my Veteran Reward AA's, and it took me months of off-and-on badgering of their CS people to finally get it fixed. My advice is to keep calling back and trying to talk to different people. It seems like every time I called I got a different story from the CS drone until I finally lucked out and got the one helpful employee in their call center.

/agree with Xatrei
sometimes you just have to be persistent -- I had my account "hacked" a few months ago and it took my being a total nag and pain in their ass before I got it straightened out
so if at first you don't succeed...
