Whoops?
Got an email today stating that I'd exceeded my bandwidth usage limit for the month... by like 600% >< 15 gigs per month is apparently what my current subscription covers (standard cable internet package). Now is it just me or does that seem small? I honestly couldn't say when the last time I was under 15gigs was.
LOL that blows
Sounds like time to find a new provider

Unlimited here. I average about 80 - 120gb a month depending upon how many people download from me, how many visit my site, etc...
Some months when I go newsleech crazy, its all about the 300 ranges...
.
My ISP is run by a personal friend's parents. One time his dad calls, and says, "Hey, adam are you going to share what you're downloading or keep costing me money?"
Haha, thats when I decided it was time for an FTP.
But yes, to get back on topic, new provider is in order!

Email them back and ask them where in the terms and conditions that you agreed to does it say what your bandwidth limit is. if it's rogers or shaw cable then neither of them have a limit in their legacy broadband packages, which you have if you've been with either of them for longer then 3 or 4 years.
shaw cable tried to pull that shit with me and the end result was a personal letter of apology by a vp and 3 free months worth of subscription.

I'll try that. Using Cogeco cable here, not Shaw or Rogers, but I've been with them for years and never had any problems with bandwidth, and this past month hasn't been my busiest one evenkyoukan wrote:Email them back and ask them where in the terms and conditions that you agreed to does it say what your bandwidth limit is. if it's rogers or shaw cable then neither of them have a limit in their legacy broadband packages, which you have if you've been with either of them for longer then 3 or 4 years.
