A little bit of everything really. I guess DVDs would be my current high ticket item, followed by the occassional Warhammer 40k squad. Years ago, I used to be 100% Games Workshop, but that shit is waaaay too expensive now. I've never seen a company work so hard to fuck over it's own business. We used to have five hobby shops within 30 minutes of my home that sold GW, no, every single one has dropped them over the last 2 years. I can now only get the stuff online, which curbs my impulse buying a great deal.
I also collect Hot Sauces and videos of lesbians that lick each others butt.

I collected comic when I was a kid but sold them all when I moved to Georgia for a while. I do have a lot of DVDs but I haven't been able to afford much lately. I used to collect gaming miniatures for both Fantasy and Battletech but I sold all those as well. Now I mostly collect debt. I found that I am really good at it too. I have debt where I never thought I had it before. I wish there were a way to sell all my debt. Damn lottery.

I used to like Superballs (!) before I freaked out over germs. For some reason, I always think of all the crap on the ground those balls are bouncing off of and then they lie around for unsuspecting people to grab and bounce all over the place before eating...but then I see Steve Nash lick his fingers every time he takes the basketball down the court and he seems to stay healthy. OK, I'm cured.

Like Sueven I also collect books, when I moved to Michigan I used 39 boxes crammed to the hilt and weighing 90000lbs each. (fact nazis out there I realize this is not an accurate number, but if you lazy fraks had moved them you would have agreed.
I also collect swords, 3 right now, but I do not buy swap meet garbage, 2 were hand made for me, and the third is a museum replica catalog piece. Not to mention a back and front plate, plate pauldrons, plate bracers, plate articulated knees, chain pieces etc. Oh yeah and no bs about some EQ thing I was SCA/Renny for decades before EQ existed. I am hoping to buy a helm or decent plate leg pieces next spring.

Used to collect Star Wars figures in the mid 90s when their Power of the Force 2 line was released. Also got some signed by Jeremy Bulloch and David Prowse. They are still in boxes, waiting to be catalogued and sold.
I guess I sorta collect DVDs and some books, but I buy them to watch or read, not for collector value.
And I also collect debt and failed relationships, like some other peeps mentioned. This seems to have a higher dollars invested mark, but really no asthetic value.

Had a collection of snowglobes brought back to me when I was mother hen for my company's training dept and we were rolling out a new testing program nationwide, the cheaper the better! When I did a total purging recently, I only kept one of them, half empty of its water but from georgia, it was my favorite one =)
But as far as my own collections, it's shot glasses. They always come in handy.

My husband collects old arcade machines
So far we have Gauntlent (1&2 in the same box), Killer Instinct 2, Pac Man, Smash T.V., Arch Rivals, and a large 2 moniter box which is being converted into a Mame machine.

They just damn expensive, but i dream of someday having a house with a room for comps and arcade machines, with at least 1 normal arcade (bubble bobble rocks), one cabinet with a PC with MAME, and preferably one of the 4 player ones for Gauntlet and Rampage
