What things from WoW would you like to see Vanguard incorporate? This person answered...
There are so many wonderful things!
I hope they follow the WoW business model of going around the globe, selling the game to more and more people so that you don't have to worry about making more content for the customers you already have. My hope is I will completely run out of things to do while Sigil becomes the first on line game company to tap the uncharted mmorpg market for the Ivory Coast.
WoW has shown us that end game content is overrrated. At max level I want to kill the same boss mobs in the same dungeons over and over and over. This is an excellent feature for people who, for example, only own one book and read it again every day.
A big feature in WoW you have to love is the level advancement. Sigil should take it the next step and introduce the level faerie, who will follow me around and give me levels as a reward for breathing. I mean, your lungs are going in and out - that should be compensated with experience and loot. Otherwise breathing is just a grind.
I also want to see the same customer service model where you don't actually hire any GMs. Fantasy games are all about lore and legend, so I welcome the mythology of sending in a customer service ticket and never seeing it answered.
I want to face a challenge, so I applaud what WoW has done by adding a mini-game where I can attempt to find a server that is up and stable.
A strong sense of community is a WoW feature that should also be followed. The best way to achieve that is attract as many illiterate, ADD pre-teens as the servers will bear. These folks are the backbone of any continuous sense of belonging and the game should be oriented to their needs.
The WoW loot system is second to none. I love the way I can get a better high level item by soloing a random mob in a nondescript open zone than participating in an all night raid. That gives me the feeling of achievement I am looking for.
Games are all about surprises. The best surprise in WoW is what nerf I will get this week, preferably on a predominantly PvE server because of something my character might do in PvP.
I play multi-player games because I hate playing with other people, so WoW set the high watermark for me. I want to solo all the way to max level and hopefully never need to interact with anyone else.
I want to craft things that nobody needs. That makes it more like arts and crafts, where the real fun is. Hey cool, anyone want a mobil made out of old beer cans? I'm a level 300 crafter and that's what I can do.
I want a character that looks like Foghorn Leghorn, and advance him through his many adventures in Toontown. Hopefully the orcs will giggle and say "that's all foks."
I don't like to be babied, and it really makes me feel babied when a gamemaker tells me the truth. Blizzard has shown us that you can sell more copies of games if you keep telling the players things that aren't true. Keep me guessing. I love it.
There should be no death penalty, just like in WoW. In fact, I don't want to even take damage. Death and damage are mean. I want a happy character who tee hees when the bad men tickle me with their feather swords.
I could go on, but hopefully Sigil will take note of all these wonderful game features and follow in Blizzard's footsteps.

Because the marketing team is the same as the development team.I hope they follow the WoW business model of going around the globe, selling the game to more and more people so that you don't have to worry about making more content for the customers you already have. My hope is I will completely run out of things to do while Sigil becomes the first on line game company to tap the uncharted mmorpg market for the Ivory Coast.

What about the 'Meeting Stone Roulette' minigame?I want to face a challenge, so I applaud what WoW has done by adding a mini-game where I can attempt to find a server that is up and stable.
Actually, that's probably the best feature of WoW. The 1-60 game is pretty slick (if not a bit too easy). If they cut combat/quest XP in half, I wouldn't really mind.A big feature in WoW you have to love is the level advancement.
Ah if only they patched that often. It's more like what nerf will you get in 3 months...Games are all about surprises. The best surprise in WoW is what nerf I will get this week, preferably on a predominantly PvE server because of something my character might do in PvP
