That South Park joke is wrong on so many levels.

that's the entire point of the aristocrats joke. the set up and punchline are always the same; the actual funny part of the joke is the description of what the performers do before the punchline. the point of the aristrocrats is to make it as unbelievably filthy and profane as possible. if you hear a really good comedian tell it, it can be fucking hilarious.

I can't wait to see this movie. some of my favorite standups are doing their version of it (richard lewis, bob saget) I don't think it's playing in vancouver yet.

Bob Sagat is one of your favorite comedians?
War is an option whose time has passed. Peace is the only option for the future. At present we occupy a treacherous no-man's-land between peace and war, a time of growing fear that our military might has expanded beyond our capacity to control it and our political differences widened beyond our ability to bridge them. . . .

Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war.
--RICHARD M. NIXON, "REAL PEACE" (1983)

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, represents, in the final analysis, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children."

He wouldn't rank as one of my favorites, but he is a good comedian. Long before Full House and America's Funiest Home Videos, Bob Saget was a stand up, and a pretty funny (and raunchy at times) one at that. On both shows, he was very limited by the networks, obviously. It's very unfortunate for him that he's now stuck with the image from those two shows, because he has far more depth and is much more interesting than either show would indicate.

Saw it this weekend, laughed all the way through it. It is kind of a documentary that explains the background of the joke. It really makes you see that the joke is kind of a peek into the psyche of the teller. Can't wait for the DVD, hope it has a ton of extra footage. In interviews, Penn said they have over 100 hours of footage, lots of great stuff.

2 thumbs up, my mother's ass!!!

Bob Saget keeps popping up in cameos that make my head explode. His turn on Entourage was fucking great.

Hehe, finally got to see this one, and its hilarious. True, you might feel a sense of deja vu after hearing the joke for the 55th time, but its fun as hell :).
Especially the mime doing his version was great, although i got no clue why noone called the cops on him :)
